Origins of genever
Jenever also known as genièvre, genever, peket, or in the English-speaking world as Dutch gin or is the juniper-flavored national and traditional liquor of the Netherlands and Belgium, from which gin evolved.
Genever has a long and proud Dutch history, with Gin being its direct descendant. All Vørdings spirits are distilled in Schiedam through the traditional process by skilled artisans. And that toasted cedar wood infusion? Vørding still chops, toasts and adds it by hand. Ensuring a premium product with a personal touch.
Bobby’s Schiedam Dry Gin is named after our grandfather, Jacobus Alfons, known to his friends and family as Bob or Bobby. It was his recipe that inspired us. It took us almost two years to make Bobby’s, a very fine and balanced distilled gin. Eight botanicals all separately distilled. No additives, sugars or extractions. Simply pure taste. A fresh take on a timeless classic.
